There were many people in the community injured, many houses destroyed, and other property damage. The community is very appreciative for all the volunteers from many parts of the country that have come forward to help with supplies and manpower, with tools and materials to start re-building. The people from the community are very appreciative of assistance the from all over the country. - DeKalb County Schools' Tornado Relief Fund- monetary donations can be dropped off at First Southern Bank, Rainsville, Scottsboro, Higdon, Fort Payne, Stevenson, Centre, and Leesburg branches or check can be mailed to DeKalb County Board of Education, Attention: Jennifer Williams, P. O. Box 1668, Rainsville, AL 35968. Make checks payable to DeKalb Co. Schools' Tornado Relief Fund.
