The Place to Retire

If you looking to retire now, Pells Gap is the place, and this is the right time. Where is the best place to retire? It would be great to just “Google it” start making plans. The best place for me, will not be best for you. You have to check out each thing that is important to you. If you have a reason to relocate when you retire, you need to make an informed decision. The objective of this blog is to help you find the best place for you by providing you information. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Your first concern should be location. Most people are looking for a moderate weather climate. If you are looking for a place in the mountains with a view and a convenient location, close to shopping, recreation, fishing, hunting, camping, entertainment, sightseeing, and more. Pells Gap Estates is just outside the city limits of Fort Payne, AL, a great small town, close to larger towns with all kinds of goods and services, and just far enough away to avoid urban sprawl.

Alabama has a balanced tax structure that keeps property tax reasonable and military and government retirement income, and social security income is exempt from Alabama income tax. The area has good balanced economic growth.

One very good resource for finding out about the area is the Dekalb Tourist Association,
