A place to build your dream home

Pells Gap Estates is residential subdivision in the Appalachian foothills of Northeast Alabama atop Sand Mountain Just outside Fort Payne. There is about a mile of bluff lots along the East brow of Sand Mountain. The interior lots have a great view of rolling hills across Sand Mountain. It is named Pells Gap after a old wagon road that was used about 100 years ago to come up the mountain from Big Wills Valley.

Pells Gap Estates is developed on the M. C. Pell’s family farm which was too mountainous to continue farming. It is being developed by Lowell Tilley, his grandson. He is a retired engineer who put together a development team for his one and only development. It is about 80 acres being developed in phases with first two phases ready to build homes. About half the 52 lots have been sold and eight homes have been built. There are three more phases to be developed.

This is a very unique subdivision because of the superb views, restrictions, and neighborhood association. There are many places to build a home with a great view, but they are not as convenient to shopping, schools, recreation, etc. See website
www.pellsgap.com for more information.
